Lyrics
Of Rings and Chains©
Hear a catcall / be my ragdoll / bring my downfall!
Hiking trails or reading tales or making my way home,
wanting first to go roam, can I not be alone?
Deep in men’s bones / life by hormones / all those seeds sown.
Why so dead set? Change your mindset. Have you no other brain?
Feel the burn of our pain, who’s the one to unchain?
Hearts apounding, fear abounding, danger will surround.
Feel men’s eyes, hear their sighs, run to higher ground.
Falling under / Grandpa’s thunder / brother’s plunder;
find a haven, tender maiden, follow rules of the clan,
make a family plan, anchor in a man.
Walk the beach now / flash a gold vow / tiptoe somehow:
snakes are slithering, Eve stood glistening, could have listened to God;
was she so very flawed, prodded on by a fraud?
No, don’t fall under / lover-slumbers / see the wonders.
Find some land to seed new plans, reimagine the world,
novel scenes may unfurl; reawaken the girl.
