Lyrics
Sea-Salt Love©
Sunbeams burning surf sand, tideland, Sandcrabs dancing among the rocks.
Salt laps in the breeze, surging you and me: swash of waves in the caves at the height of cresting seas.
Sand dune, love’s room, berm brine lace lines, ebb tide leaving decay and death.
As we carve our nest, we are ocean blessed, but everything that rots in time becomes a bitter tenderness.
Shells and pines find us smiling; bodies rhyme.
Sunned skin, sea swim, wind traps whitecap, turquoise foaming above our eyes.
Currents can deceive, danger in the weave of the waves, swirling slaves, seaweed graves rush & heave.
Leering gale bands rutting sea strands, brooding as memories turn to duff.
As I close my eyes, I can see your smile, salt-lashed stare, pearly glare, lost affair as love now riles.
Tidal corpse finds us pining; smothered sparks.
Sunned skin, sea swim, wind traps whitecap, turquoise foaming above our eyes; fall and rise.
